What is the definition of success?
- The accomplishment of an aim or purpose.
Or it can also be.
- The attainment of popularity or profit.
But here is something funny, "succeed" is, 'Achieve what one aims or wants to, lead to the desired result.'
In other words succeeding in life can be anything you want it to be. It doesn't have to be the standard "be a millionaire".
Succeeding in life is what feels right to you. My definition of success can be becoming a billionaire. While someone else definition of success could be, being able to have a place were life is calm and there are no worries of being harmed or killed. It can also be as simple as living in a place where there isn't an invasion of insects (like roaches).
Brainstorm what the things that you believe will make you a successful person. Some people think that if they only win the lottery they will be successful. And others think that if they get married they will be successful. Having a family is also on the list of some people journey towards becoming successful.
When you have noted all the things that will make you successful in life, start taking away the things that in the long run will not be beneficial to your growth as a person. It is best to evaluate what is success and what is not success, thoroughly. Sleeping with hundreds of women might be fun, but really evaluate every aspect of that "success".
Once you have figured out what success is to you. Categorize it by importance. Find out which one is immediate and which one is small enough that it could be joined along side a major goal or "success".
Now, its time for your research. Find out what it takes to accomplish that goal. You could read books and magazines about the subjects. You can also ask people that are on their journey to accomplish a similar go.
I think the best tool that you can have in accomplishing your goal and being the success you want to be, is to find a mentor. Don't just pick anyone. Make sure that this person has your best interest at heart. Please know that you must be of equal service to this person. You must not expect this person to give you the secrets and short cuts to become the success you want to be and you do nothing in return for that person. Whether, that person ask or not, you must be of as much service to that person as he or she is to you. Just doing something as simple as picking up his or her dry-cleaning for the day or for the week can mean a lot. Time to that person maybe just as valuable as the income you can earn from the knowledge you have acquired from your mentor.
Being successful in life is simple, but only if you are willing to follow its rules or instructions. Just like you cant expect to make a delicious cake without follow the instructions. So it is the same for life. You must follow the steps that will get you there. First you must find out what success means to you and go through the cooking book of life. Follow the instructions and make life as successful as you have always dreamed of it being.
