Examples of how you can better yourself are eating a healthier diet, or brushing up on your manners. A number of personal development methods exist, it's down to you to choose which way to go about it. When you begin your personal development program, you will be surprised by how quickly others take notice and begin to respond to you differently.

If you are depressed, pay attention to your complex carb intake and boost it. A diet that is deficient in complex carbohydrates can lead to low serotonin levels. You can accomplish this by increasing the amounts of raw vegetables and fresh fruits as well as nuts, whole grains, brown rice and assorted beans.

Focus on the things that you have determined are most important to you. By concentrating your emotional energy on the positive aspects of everyday life and shutting out the negative, you will be on the road to inner peace.
