Even so, there are many great reasons to join the military and whether you know it or not those reasons are increasing every day. You could get in a lot of legal trouble and the judge would offer you the choice of jail time or the military. Many would choose the military because to them, anything is better than jail. Plus they did not know what they were in for.
One of the best things about joining the military is the job prospects and the training that you can get. There are a lot of people who have many nasty things to say about joining the military. However it is usually these same people who really have nothing good to say about anything or they just do not know anything about the service.

The opportunity to get all of that great schooling and get p[aid while you are doing it is too good for many people to pass up. Especially when the economy back at home is supposedly so poor and jobs are so hard to come by. This offers people a chance at a normal future.

There are some people out there who have admired the armed forces for a very long time and these are the people who just cannot wait until they are old enough to sign up. As soon as they are they are on the very first bus to boot camp. They could care less that they will be gone for four years.
This is a very important test because without it they would not know where to place any individual. Once you take the test and get your score you will know what is available to you. You can then pick from those jobs. Many of the jobs, matter of fact about 80% or more can be taken back to the civilian world.
The Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines all have long distinguished histories of turning out great leaders. Respectable people who know how to work as a team and follow the rules. They know how to handle pressure and can often times handle themselves under extreme situations that other people tend to fall apart under.
