Are You Practising The Law Of Attraction

The law of attraction is essentially a belief or theory, that "like attracts like," and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, you attract positive or negative results. Basically you attract into your life whatever you think about, whether you want it or not. So if you "truly" believe your thoughts, you literally have the power to consciously and deliberately choose what you want in life. What kind of money do you want to make? While the law of attraction has received quite a bit of publicity these days, the concept has been around for centuries and has been known (and used successfully) by many great minds throughout history. It has been written in books that there is evidence the law of attraction was used by Beethoven, Einstein, and even Jesus. Many wonder why it works, and there are reams upon reams of anecdotal evidence confirming it does.

If you are familiar with the Law of Attraction then you know that this Law is in fact a scientific law stating that "LIKE" attracts "LIKE", so in other words we are like a magnet and whatever we think about in our minds we will attract to ourselves.For instance, focus on something positive and we attract positive things, focus on something negative and we attract negative things. Seems simple enough, so why do so many people struggle with this?

Well, the answer to that is simple too! According to Bob Proctor one of the key figures in the hit move The Secret and very successful Motivational Speaker, there are in fact 11 laws that accompany the Law of Attraction and they were simply left out of the movie. So, most people got the basic "jisk" of the Law but not the full version of it. Thus, leaving people frustrated and doubtful like me. He believes that great results will be achieved once the 11 Laws are learnt and applied.

Most people think about what they don't want instead of thinking about what they do want. As gay men, when we walk down the street, some of us think about what might happen if we run into a homophobe and how they might react to us. At work some of us think about how our co-workers might respond to us. When we go to the theater or to the market with other gay men, we wonder if people recognize we're gay. But what happens if we "stop" thinking about what we're afraid of and "only" think about what we want? Now I will admit it takes some practice to be aware of our thoughts and to consciously learn to change them. But luckily as humans we can discern and choose to think about what we want. One way to quiet the mind and get control of your thoughts is to consider practicing meditation. Once you start to catch and change your thoughts, you are on your way to creating and obtaining the life you want.

There are a lot of different factors which need to be considered when you're applying the law of attraction, way to many to cover in this one article alone! However I want to cover the first and most important step in using the law of attraction before covering three proven techniques on how to use the law of attraction more effectively. This is quite difficult for most to accept which is why they struggle to make the law of attraction work for them properly! Take some time to think about it. Do you allow past events and people to affect your way of thinking today still?

Think about what it is you truly believe. Do your thoughts lack when it comes to what you desire? These doubtful thoughts can be from how you grew up and can keep you from attaining the life that you want. Discover the thoughts that could be keeping you from "full" belief in the law of attraction and from your best life.Be grateful for the things you have and you will attract more of them. Use your imagination to "literally" start seeing yourself already having what you want. When you accept all possibilities your subconscious mind has nothing to resist and becomes free to accept the new choice you are presenting it with. Make peace with all that is happening to you and accept the rewards that come your way.

We all work hard to make things happen for ourselves, and then when the world offers then to us, often we don't take them. Use the law of attraction to bring what you want, then let go of past habits and happily receive what you deserve.The basic premises of The Law of Attraction is "like attracts like", or as it's officially stated, "That which is like unto itself is drawn."Remember that everything is energy and that all energy vibrates at certain frequencies.Thus, as per The Law of Attraction, lower vibrational energy attracts more lower vibrational energy. (think fear, hate, jealousy, etc.) Higher vibrational energy attracts more higher vibrational energy, such as love, happiness, joy, etc.

ALWAYS Show Gratitude.Now, here's the problem I see all to often, many people are focusing their attention and energy on the things that they don't have! This is completely the wrong approach as you're sending out vibes of need and want! Instead be grateful for the things that you do have, each day show appreciation for being blessed with these things and you'll be radiating a much more positive vibe.This really is key as you'll gradually realize that you are actually already better off than most (third world countries for instance).

This one approach alone can really bring about some profound changes if you truly adhere to it and continue to show gratitude and appreciation.Keep Doing The Things That Make You Feel Good.This final tip is one I picked up from Bob Proctor and Mary Morrissey's 11 Forgotten Laws and sounds so obvious but it is astonishing the number of people who don't allow time for the activities they enjoy! If you enjoy a particular activity then it makes sense to do if more often right? Of course it does! The problem is far to many people become consumed by routine and don't engage in these activities.Make note of the things that make you feel good, it doesn't have to be expensive or time-consuming. Even simple things such as making more time for old friends and acquaintances is a sure-fire way to feel good about yourself and more fulfilled.Not only doe this technique help speed up the process of the law of attraction but it is also going to help you enjoy life more which is another important step in manifesting your dreams alone!
