The Importance Of An Encounter With God

By Myrtle Cash

An encounter with God refers to a personal experience that an individual usually has with the supreme God. This event is usually a life changing event, provided God was in it. Most people after this never turn to their bad old ways, because then, they get to taste they beauty of God and never want to miss it.

The experience may happen to many people in different situations. It may happen to people in a bad way or in a good way, but the intentions of the Lord for whatever happens are always clean. For instance, somebody who is a very heavy and destructive sinner may have been preached to severally in vain. Man may give up on him, but the Lord never will.

This is never so because He stops caring for them. It only happens so that people can get to realize that without God, they actually can do nothing. In this case, He lets them get so mistreated and hurt by the devil, until they realize that the life they have taken that only glorifies the devil is not worth it, and they need to choose a more fulfilling life.

The good experiences also can happen to the good people or even the bad ones. Here, Christ Jesus allows very marvelous things to happen in the life of a person. The person may consider it the grace of god upon their lives, or the mighty favor of Christ upon their undeserving lives. The Lord may insist on giving people good experiences so that they can get to realize that with their own struggles, all is in vain.

The people to whom this encounter happens may be those that are totally opposed to the existence of Christ, or to those that acknowledge that Christ indeed exists and is supreme above everything else. The people that do not believe that the Almighty exists are there. However, Christ still cares for them, because He is their creator. As such, he still does manifest to these people in a powerful way to make them realize that He is their creator.

Those that have taken the path that is of the Lord also are beneficiaries of these amazing confrontations. They usually need this to give them a reason to continue holding onto their faith and show them that they serve a risen savior that can never leave them alone. They also feel like they can never be abandoned in any way.

However, a category of people is fond of very funny ways of proving that God exists. These people are the type that may resort to proclaiming that Christ does not exist, unless they see miracles performed upon their lives. This is termed a very wrong way of testing of the grace of the Lord.

An encounter with God is such an amazing experience. It comes in highly diversified ways. People may never get to realize the experiences, but a time finally comes for every individual. These are the times when people now choose to work and live for the Lord.
